My Teaching Philosophy
My piano studio is where musical potential meets personal passion–an environment where every student is seen, heard, and empowered to grow both as a musician and as an individual.

"Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline, and endurance. They get a beautiful heart."
– Shinichi Suzuki

Private lessons in my studio are primarily student-driven, welcoming individuals of all ages and abilities from age 5 to 85 (and beyond).
I support my students in cultivating intrinsic motivation by regularly assessing their musical goals and aligning lesson concepts with their personal aspirations.
I've been a student for around 2 years and it has been a wonderful experience! I was able to progress really fast with her! I loved the depth we went into when we did dynamics. I was able to make my songs sound wonderful! Her teaching style is great! I would highly recommend anyone to have her as your piano teacher!

New musical ideas are tailored to each student's unique learning style and capabilities, ensuring that every individual feels valued and capable within their own sphere of growth.
I facilitate learning by asking guiding questions such as, "What ideas do you have to fix pausing throughout this piece?" or "What did you like about your performance? How do you think it could have been better?"
This approach encourages critical thinking and self-reflection rather than relying solely on my perspective. By the end of each lesson, students feel confident in their ability to make progress, supported by clear, actionable guidance for independent practice at home.

Beyond private lessons, I offer opportunities for students to participate in recitals, competitions, festivals, and evaluations if they choose.

Monthly group masterclasses are a cornerstone of my teaching approach.
These sessions give students the chance to perform for their peers in a supportive setting, build confidence in front of an audience, and practice giving and receiving constructive feedback. They also foster a sense of community and belonging––a vital part of any artistic journey.
